Good Samaritan

  • LocationNew Orleans, LA
  • ArchitectThe Architectural Studio
  • Budget$13,498,600

The Good Samaritan project, completed in 2014, was a Hurricane Katrina rebuild in the heart of New Orleans. This building, formerly known as the Lafon Home, is a 57,000 SF, 129-bed nursing home.

Elements include residential living wings, resident social areas, an administration core, and a full-service kitchen. The center also houses a large therapy gym that provides a total rehabilitation program to residents requiring an extra helping hand. Good Samaritan has visiting areas throughout the center, giving family and friends a “home-like” atmosphere when visiting their loved ones.
