The DSHS Softball & Baseball project was Phase 1 in athletic improvements for Denham Springs High School. Completed in February 2023, this project was a new construction of both softball and baseball facilities. The facilities included two competition fields with Geosurfaces – Tencate Grass GeoGreen artificial turf, masonry backstops, dugouts, and R-Panel outfield walls.
Additionally, aluminum bleachers with a 300-seat capacity and electronic scoreboards were installed. Both stadiums have a two-story press box building with a structural thru-wall brick exterior and a single-slope roof. The softball and baseball facilities include a 7,000 SF fieldhouse with a structural thru-wall brick envelope. The fieldhouse includes indoor practice facilities, batting tunnels, locker rooms, and player meeting rooms.
