The Capitol Park Improvements project involved securing our state’s most important building, the State Capitol. The project consisted of installing over 500 steel pipe bollards and 450 feet of precast concrete walls around the perimeter of the Capitol, along with an extensive landscaping upgrade and an additional parking lot. It also included a state-of-the-art retractable bollard system for secured parking lot access and housed guard shacks at each entrance. This project received the ABC Excellence in Construction award for perimeter security.
